Meet Charlie, a sweet, 2-year-old, 50 lb Boxer/Pittie mix with a heart full of love and a spirit ready for adventure! Charlie is a loyal companion who thrives on companionship and enjoys being part of everything his people do. He's a sensitive soul who sometimes needs a little extra time to warm up to new people and experiences, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate and eager-to-connect personality truly shines. Charlie loves going on "sniff walks," where he can take his time to appreciate every scent, and he enjoys playing with toys and his canine foster siblings. He has made significant progress in his confidence-building and socialization, and his foster family is incredibly proud of his journey.
Ideal Home
Charlie is looking for a patient, kind, and committed adopter who enjoys training, enrichment activities, and outdoor adventures. He could do well with another gentle dog and has experience living with school-age children. He is an athletic dog who can jump a four-foot fence, so he will need a secure six-foot fence or an adopter who is fully committed to leash walking and thoughtful outdoor management to ensure his safety.

Charlie is up-to-date on his vaccinations and is currently thriving with continued training and enrichment.
Training & Support
Charlie is house-trained and crate-trained. He is good on a leader-style leash and doesn't pull. His biggest "challenge" is his enthusiasm for investigating interesting smells, which sometimes requires encouragement to keep moving. He has been working hard in group training and with confidence-building exercises.
