Brooklyn is a sweet, shy, and snuggle-loving 10-year-old wire-haired terrier who is looking for a calm and loving forever home. After leaving her home of 10 years, the world can feel a bit overwhelming for her, and she may be a little sassy with her bark when first meeting new people. However, with a little patience and kindness, Brooklyn blossoms into a devoted companion who loves to be close to her people. She enjoys following her humans around, snuggling up, and receiving chin and ear rubs – she'll even gently paw your hand to remind you if the petting stops! While she enjoys playtime and walks, she's not a fan of boisterous puppy energy. She would do best as the only dog in the home or with a calm, older canine friend. Brooklyn is fully house-trained, sleeps well in her playpen, and would be thrilled to have a fenced backyard to explore with you. She can be a bit overwhelmed in busy adoption events, so a quieter, more personal introduction would be ideal. Brooklyn promises to show you her beautiful, loving soul and make you so glad you chose her.
Ideal Home
Brooklyn would thrive in a calm and loving home with a small family where she can feel secure. She would do well with another small, gentle dog friend and/or older children who understand the importance of patience and kindness. She needs to live in your home as part of your family.
Ongoing Health
Brooklyn is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, flea/heartworm prevention, and is microchipped.
Training & Support
Brooklyn is fully house-trained and sleeps well in her playpen. She may be a little shy at first but will remind you to pet her with gentle paw taps.
