Niji

Niji is a spirited and happy Shiba Inu who is over one year old and ready to find his forever family! He's a sesame-colored boy with a lot of love to give. Niji is a very smart and curious pup who enjoys playing with stuffed animals, chasing balls (though he's still working on the fetch part!), and has a particular fondness for the water hose. He's also great with cats and children over 8 years old, and gets along well with female dogs.

Ideal Home

Niji would thrive in a home with an experienced owner who understands working breeds. An active lifestyle is a must, as he needs plenty of opportunities to burn off his energy. Because he can be vocal when crated if he doesn't get his way, a home where this can be managed would be ideal. He is looking for a home that doesn't have other male dogs, as he has had issues with them in the past.

Ongoing Health

Niji is up to date on his vaccinations and deworming. He will also have received proper vet checks before going to his new home. As he is intact, he has been marking indoors, but this is expected to resolve once he is neutered.

Training & Support

Niji is crate trained, although he is not a fan of the crate. He is also potty trained but does mark indoors. He is very smart and loves to chase, so continued training focusing on positive reinforcement will be beneficial.
