About Big Boy

Meet Big! This lovable goofball is all about fun, adventure, and making every day a little brighter. With his playful spirit and silly charm, Big is guaranteed to keep you smiling, especially when you catch him running after a ball with his big head and tongue flopping out like the adorable dufus he is! Big is just over 2 years old and weighs in at 47lbs. He absolutely loves to play and romp around, whether it's chasing after a ball, exploring new trails, or enjoying the great outdoors with his favorite people. He's the perfect companion for an active home that enjoys hiking, traveling, and making memories together. From weekend adventures to spontaneous road trips, Big is always ready to tag along and soak up the fun. When the day winds down, Big is just as happy to cuddle up close, whether it's on a chilly night, lounging poolside as your self-appointed lifeguard, or simply relaxing by your side. He truly thrives on being part of the action and sharing life's little (and big!) moments with his humans. Big is ready to find a family who will include him in their daily adventures, laugh at his goofy antics, and love him as much as he'll love them. If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and endlessly entertaining companion, Big is your guy!

Ideal Home

Big would do best in an active home that enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time outdoors. He loves to play and romp around and is always ready for an adventure. He is good with older children and dogs. We have not tested him with cats.

Ongoing Health

All dogs adopted through Wags have received a thorough veterinary examination, all routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough). They have also been tested for heartworm, given a fecal test and deworming, microchipped, and treated with flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and have been spayed or neutered. All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter to ensure they don't break with disease. If a dog was treated for heartworm, they can test positive for up to 4-6 months after their last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following treatment to kill the heartworm larvae and should be re-tested 5-6 months after the last heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

Big's energy level is medium-high, and he thrives on playtime and outdoor activities. He enjoys chasing balls and exploring. He is also happy to cuddle up after a day of fun.
