Meet Koda, a handsome 2.5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix who's about 50 pounds of pure sweetness! Koda is the perfect blend of a calm companion and a playful pal. He has a gentle nature and an easygoing personality that brings a peaceful vibe wherever he goes. Koda's favorite thing in the world is spending time with his people. He's a champion snuggler, loves to relax nearby, and truly just wants to be part of the family. He's already mastered house training, settles in beautifully, and has wonderful manners. Plus, he walks like a dream on a leash, matching your pace for enjoyable, stress-free strolls.
While Koda cherishes quiet moments, he also has a fun-loving side that adores playtime. He would be absolutely thrilled to have a friendly canine sibling to wrestle, romp, and share adventures with. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and having a buddy helps bring out his playful spirit. Koda has also lived successfully with cats and has even been seen playing with their toys, showing just how adaptable and easygoing he is!
Ideal Home
Koda would thrive in a calm home environment without small children, where he can enjoy a predictable routine and plenty of companionship. As an Anatolian Shepherd mix, Koda can be protective of his home and may resource guard his space with unfamiliar visitors. He needs an adopter who understands guardian-breed traits and is willing to manage introductions appropriately and advocate for his success.
Ongoing Health
Koda is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He does experience some carsickness on longer trips, which can be easily managed with Dramamine when needed.
Training & Support
Koda has wonderful house manners and walks beautifully on a leash. He may resource guard his space with unfamiliar visitors, so an adopter experienced with guardian breeds and who can manage introductions appropriately is recommended.
