We are posting a general Beagle profile, as some of our Beagles are ready to begin the search for their forever homes. Others are still receiving additional time to decompress while we continue to assess their individual needs and personalities. We are aware that some of these Beagles have developed a social media following. Because of this, we want to be transparent that we will not be accepting applications for specific dogs by name. Our goal is to find adopters who are willing to trust the process and remain open-minded as we work closely with our foster families to determine the best match for both the adopter and the dog. These dogs will need a great deal of support from their future families. Breed experience is strongly preferred, and all adopters should be prepared to provide patience, understanding, and a commitment to helping their new companion adjust to life in a home environment.
Ideal Home
Applicants must live in Chicago or within a two-hour radius. Applicants must currently have a confident resident dog that has lived in the home for at least 68 months. This ensures the resident dog has had sufficient time to adjust and display their true personality and behavior, allowing us to better evaluate compatibility.
Ongoing Health
These Beagles came from the Ridglan Farms breeding facility, and we want to ensure potential adopters have a full understanding of what that may mean for their transition and ongoing needs.
Training & Support
Breed experience is strongly preferred, and all adopters should be prepared to provide patience, understanding, and a commitment to helping their new companion adjust to life in a home environment.

- We will send a brief informational email outlining the needs and expectations of these dogs.
- We will conduct a veterinary reference check to verify that current pets are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm and flea/tick prevention, and are spayed or neutered.
- We will schedule a video call to learn more about your household, lifestyle, and expectations.
- A virtual home visit will also be completed during the video call.
- If selected, we will arrange a meet and greet that includes ALL family members.
- If a particular match is not the right fit, or if another applicant is selected, your application will remain on file for future adoption opportunities.
Transporation
These dogs are located in Chicago and can be transported within a two-hour radius.
