Meet Banano! This charming little guy with a big heart is a Chihuahua/Terrier mix who was born around May 2022 and weighs about 10kg. Banano's story is one of resilience; he was rescued after bravely darting through traffic near CUC University in Ixtapa. Despite this scary experience, he has remained the sweetest and most grateful soul. He's ready to find a loving family who will cherish and keep him safe forever.

Ideal Home

Banano is a small to medium pup with a gentle personality and so much love to give. He's looking for a family to call his own.

Ongoing Health

Banano came into care with low platelets and was being treated for Ehrlichia and anemia. He's already feeling so much better and is neutered, vetted, and ready for adoption!

Banano is ready for his forever home and is eager to settle in with his new family.

Transportation

Banano is located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You'll meet your new pup at the airport to welcome them home. It can be challenging to secure Canadian flight companions during May and June, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian companion is unavailable. We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border, which remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward.
