About Neena
Hi, I’m Neena, and I’m the Queen of the Kiddie Pool! I’m a 4-month-old cattle dog mix, which means I’m adorable, clever, and a little bit of a boss babe. My energy level is about a 6/10; I’m always ready for an adventure, but I also appreciate a good nap after supervising everyone. I currently weigh about 15 lbs and will likely grow into a medium-sized pup, weighing between 40-50 lbs.
My greatest passion in life is water! If you give me a kiddie pool, I’ll happily splash, lounge, and pretend I’m on a luxury vacation. Forget fancy dog beds; I have standards, and those standards involve floating my paws in cool water.
When it comes to making dog friends, I like to play it cool. I’m a bit cautious at first, and stranger danger is a real thing. I’d much rather be the one to make the first move. If another dog barrels toward me like we're already besties, I'll hit reverse faster than you'd expect. Once I know everyone is nice, though, I’m all about joining the fun!
As a working breed, I do have a few herding instincts. Sometimes I like to remind my dog friends where they should be, but I’m a smart girl and take corrections well.
Tiny humans? Oh, yes, please! I’ve met children and absolutely adored them, especially one sweet little boy who was so gentle with me. I was drawn right to him, and my heart said, “Yep, this one’s a keeper.” Cats are still a mystery to me, as I’ve never met one.
I’m also pretty proud of my kennel manners. I’ve only had one accident, and my foster human admits that was completely their fault because work ran late. I actually love my kennel! Sometimes I wander in by myself when I want a little peace and quiet. I sleep through the entire night (a solid 8 hours!) without making a peep, except for the occasional hiccups, which cause me to make tiny “meep” noises that make every human melt.
One of my signature moves is the famous Neena Head Tilt™. If something catches my attention, I’ll tilt my head back and forth while I try to figure it out. My foster family says it’s one of the cutest things they’ve ever seen. It’s my way of confirming that we’re in a conversation with active listening. I haven’t mastered potty training yet, but I’m trying my best and will need patience and cheering on.
I’m an independent little soul who enjoys having my own space, but I absolutely thrive when I’m part of a pack, whether that’s with humans, dog friends, or both. I love being included, making memories, and finding my place with my people. If you’re looking for a sweet, funny, water-loving, head-tilting, tiny-meeping, adventure-ready best friend with just the right amount of sass, I think we should meet. I’ll bring the personality—you just bring the kiddie pool.
