Petey

Petey is a 16-week-old, 21 lb hound mix who was found as a stray with another puppy. He's a sweet, gentle boy who loves to snuggle and is incredibly quiet. Petey is a big goofball who enjoys playing and then curling up on the couch for a nap or cuddle session. He's doing well with other dogs and is making great progress with potty training, having had no accidents in the house for weeks! He's also mastering crate training and hasn't been destructive in the home. Petey is estimated to weigh between 40-50 lbs when fully grown.

A home where he can continue his training and socialization, and where he'll get plenty of love and attention.

Ongoing Health

Petey is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. His adoption fee includes the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required neuter when age-appropriate.

Training & Support

Petey is doing well with potty training and crate training. As with any puppy, ongoing training and socialization are essential for responsible ownership.

• A completed adoption application is required.
• A vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) is conducted.
• A virtual home visit call will discuss the adoption process and view your home.

Transportation

Petey is currently being fostered in Richmond, VA. Adopters must be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach to complete spay/neuter with approved clinics.
