Patty

Hi there! My name is Patty, and I'm a sweet, curious, and energetic puppy who would love someone to take me for long walks, cuddle with me, and show me around. I can be shy and timid at first because I'm still learning expectations in new situations, but I warm up quickly! My foster mom loves my heart-shaped nose and my short little tail. I'm missing part of my tail, but don't worry, I'm not missing any personality! I came all the way from Texas, and while I'm still getting used to the colder weather, I love to snuggle up in a blanket next to my people. I sleep quietly in my kennel at night and I'm making great progress with potty training, especially with frequent potty breaks. I'm still learning about being polite and how to walk nicely on a leash, but I am highly motivated by treats and eager to please, so I know with a little guidance, I'll get it! As a puppy, I love to play with toys, especially bones and chew toys. My foster mom throws balls for me, but I make her go get them! She's also teaching me that jumping up isn't polite, but I'm still learning. I've been around people of all ages, even little ones, and I adore everyone! I do get excited when I meet new people and tend to jump up to say hello and get some pets. I've also met a cat who seems to like me, and I think we'll become friends. I've met some big dogs who have shown me the ropes, and I learn from them. I know when they're done playing, and I'll go find a toy. I love to run and chase them in the yard, and they enjoy playing with me too. I'd love to meet someone who can see past my initial shyness and recognize what an amazing pup I am!
