Eliana GC

Elliana is a sweet, older lady who has had a rough start to life but is ready to find her forever home. She was used as a breeder dog for many years and was then abandoned with a mammary tumor. Luckily, her foster mom rescued her and brought her to the vet. She had her tumor removed, and she was spayed as well. Elliana is still adjusting to life outside of a cage, and while she sometimes reverts to circling when nervous, she is getting better with more time outside. She startles easily due to her past and may "gum" you if picked up too quickly, so speaking to her and gently touching her before picking her up will help her feel secure. She is learning to tolerate being held for longer periods and is enjoying good food and a soft bed. Elliana has limited vision but navigates well with her sense of smell. She is doing well with using puppy pads at night and can also potty outside if kept on a schedule, especially after meals.

A patient and loving home that understands she is still adjusting to life as a beloved pet. Taking things slow will be key to her success.

Elliana had a mammary gland tumor removed and was spayed.

Training & Support

Elliana may revert to circling when nervous. She startles easily and may "gum" people if picked up too quickly. Gentle handling and speaking to her before picking her up will help her feel secure. She is still learning to tolerate being held for extended periods.
