Zelda

Zelda is a sweet, spunky Australian Shepherd/Heeler mix who is about 9 months old. She was found hiding under some old tires after being attacked by a pack of dogs. Her right front leg was broken in two places, and it was necessary to amputate it. Despite this traumatic experience, Zelda is a resilient girl who has made a fast recovery. She was initially shy, but she is now active, playful, and has shown no grudges against the other dogs in her foster home. Zelda walks well on a leash, is crate and car trained, and has been spayed with current vaccinations.

Ideal Home

Zelda would thrive in a home where she can continue to be active and playful. Her resilience and ability to get along with other dogs in foster suggest she would do well in a multi-pet household.

Ongoing Health

Zelda's right front leg was amputated due to a previous injury. She has recovered well from the surgery.

Training & Support

Zelda is crate and car trained and walks well on a leash. She has adjusted well to her amputation and is a playful, active dog.

Transporation

Zelda is being fostered near Ramah, NM on Hwy 53. Foster mom Susan Mayne is happy to answer any questions and will transport Zelda within the Four Corners area. Transport can also be arranged to other states.
