Meet Breezy! This sweet momma dog has had a tough life, but she's ready to retire and live the good life. Breezy was found caring for her litter on the streets of North Tulsa. Thankfully, a kind woman intervened and rescued Breezy's babies from a severe worm infestation. Although Breezy did her best to keep them safe, they needed human help to overcome their health challenges.
Once her puppies were old enough to go to a different rescue, Breezy was left without a foster home, possibly due to her breed. Her rescuers couldn't bear the thought of her searching for her lost litter, so they took her in to be spayed, ensuring she wouldn't have to go through that heartbreak again. Unfortunately, Breezy also tested positive for heartworm. Her rescuers are committed to her recovery and will not release her until she's healthy.
Breezy is the most affectionate and affectionate dog, believing she's a lap dog and showering her people with kisses. She's a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She's been a quiet, respectful, and well-behaved guest, even with noisy neighbors. Breezy dreams of a cozy spot on a couch or a shared bed, and a family to call her own would be the icing on the cake!

Breezy is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment. This process is long and expensive, but her rescuers have already begun her life-saving care.
