Meet Niyu Australian Shepherds. Toni Ballard is from Colorado, and owns Niyu Aussies - which is named after my first two akc Registered dogs, Nitro & Yue. I began my lifelong love for the Australian Shepherd back in 1998, in 2002 I got an Australian Shepherd mix, whom I dearly loved but realized I eventually wanted to get into Purebred Registered dogs so I could further enjoy them at AKC obedience & agility trials, after finishing my 4H career. In 2013 my sister got an amazing English Setter Bitch named “Cheza” and I was slowly intertroduced to the world of conformation dog shows, and that is when I decided, that I was gonna add another requirement to my future Australian Shepherds, I wanted a dog that could not only complete in agility, but also be structurally sound and true to the breed standard that could be competitive in the breed & performance ring. In 2015 my Dream of owning, purebred Australian Shepherds finally became a reality, when I got a beautiful Blue Bitch that has exceeded any expectations & has changed our lives...
