Meet Oakley! This handsome 68lb Terrier/Pitbull mix, born around December 16, 2021, is the sweetest boy you'll ever meet. Oakley is incredibly affectionate and will be your constant shadow, always wanting to be in the same room as you. His foster mom describes him as independent and very smart; he already knows "sit" and "get on your bed." Walks are his absolute favorite activity, and he's a pro on the leash, though he does understand the command "slow down." Oakley can tolerate other dogs but would likely be happiest as the only canine in the home. He does have a strong prey drive and enjoys chasing cats and squirrels. Despite a tough start in life – found as a stray, emaciated, and with a severely injured ear – Oakley's sweet nature shines through, and he loves to cuddle up by your side. He’s ready to shower his new family with the sweetest greetings and tail wags.

Oakley would thrive in a home where he can be your constant companion. He would likely prefer to be the only dog in the household, as he tends to chase cats and squirrels.

Transporation
Oakley is located in Houston, TX. Transport out of state is available. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles. Adopters can track the transport van using the Life360 app and receive updates. Facebook chats are also available for tracking updates.
