Golden Hour

Golden Hour is a sweet 8.5-year-old, 76 lb girl who quietly stole our hearts when we met her. She had been living in a crate at the shelter, looking completely defeated, but eventually rested her head on a volunteer’s lap for pets. This was her second time at the ACC; she was surrendered in 2021, adopted, and then found stray last year, with her owners refusing to take her back. Now safe in her foster home, Golden Hour has blossomed into a gentle, affectionate house hippo who is kind and friendly with people and dogs. She is super affectionate and just wants to lay around, making her the perfect companion.
