Tucker Teddy is an approximately 1-year-old, 58 lb lab mix with a heart of gold and a face that could melt anyone's. He's a real-life cartoon puppy, complete with adorable "angel baby eyes" and a charming little bubble lip. Tucker's personality is the perfect balance of affectionate and independent; he enjoys leaning in for pets, curling up beside you, and quietly following you from room to room, offering a comforting presence without being overbearing. He's a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all play styles and would likely thrive with a confident, playful female companion. Tucker also showed remarkable gentleness and respect around the resident cat, Biggie, and we're happy to arrange a cat sleepover to ensure a smooth transition. While he's still building confidence in new environments, especially around things like vacuums, Tucker is a quick learner and will undoubtedly blossom with gentle exposure and a loving family. He'd be happiest in a home with a backyard where he can play and explore freely.
Ideal Home
Tucker would thrive in a home with a backyard. He would also benefit from a home with another confident, playful dog. While he was gentle with a 5-year-old, he may not do best in a home with constant, high-energy chaos.

Tucker is a rescue dog, and while we do our best to determine age and breed, we cannot guarantee them.
Training & Support
Tucker is still building confidence and learning about new things, such as vacuums. He would benefit from continued positive reinforcement and gentle exposure to new experiences.

Transporation
Tucker is currently located in Texas. We offer nationwide transport via our USDA-certified rescue transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). An $87 surcharge applies for transport. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
