Meet Annie!

Annie is a spirited, almost five-year-old German Shepherd with a beautiful sable coat, weighing around 55 pounds. She's a blend of intelligence, loyalty, and a love for the outdoors. Annie is bright, curious, and embodies the classic Shepherd spirit, whether she's exploring the woods or enjoying playtime. She is crate-trained and sees her crate as a cozy retreat. Annie adapts easily to daily routines and enjoys being part of her caregivers' lives, thriving on connection and activity.

Ideal Home

Annie shines brightest in wide-open spaces with fresh air and room to explore. A securely fenced yard or a rural setting would be ideal for her. She needs a single-pet, child-free environment with minimal visiting animals. She is not compatible with other dogs or cats.

Ongoing Health

Annie has a diagnosed Ventricular Premature Contraction (VPC), a heart condition that makes anesthesia unsafe, which is why she has not been spayed. She also has a history of seizures, though she has not had any recent episodes. Her new family must be prepared to support her special care needs and monitor her conditions.

Training & Support

Annie has completed formal obedience training and responds well to commands like sit, stay, and down. She would benefit from an experienced German Shepherd parent who understands her need for structure, positive reinforcement, and thoughtful guidance. While she can show interest in other dogs, she can become overwhelmed and may react. She needs a confident caregiver who can provide consistent boundaries, recognize her signals, and offer ongoing training and behavior guidance.
