Honey is as sweet as her name suggests! This gorgeous girl, born on February 15, 2020, and weighing in at 52.7 lbs, will steal your heart with her loving eyes and resilient spirit. Honey is affectionate, curious, smart, and loves to play, even fetching like a champ! She has completed obedience school, where her trainer noted she is sweet with both humans and dogs, very obedient, focused, playful, and independent. Honey listens well to strong leadership, knows basic commands, and enjoys long walks by your side.
Ideal Home
Honey would thrive in a home where she receives lots of love and activities. She would do well as a single dog in a home with adults or a family with grown children who can provide strong leadership. Honey's enthusiasm and energy might be a bit much for very young children. She could also happily live with another dog, provided there's a willingness to introduce them slowly and supervise interactions, especially initial playdates. Honey can be a bit picky about her playmates, preferring passive female dogs and disliking being bullied. However, she absolutely loves puppies!
Ongoing Health
Honey was treated for tick fever and has since been cleared by the vet. She will receive a full medical assessment before leaving Cortez Rescue to ensure she is in optimum health.
Training & Support
Honey is well-behaved and listens well to strong leadership. She knows basic commands. While she enjoys playing with other dogs, initial introductions and play dates should be supervised as she can be a bit particular about her companions.
