Meet Cheesy Gordita, a sweet female Beagle mix who is about 2 years old. Cheesy Gordita has overcome a lot in her life, reportedly coming from an abusive home and later losing her second home. Because of her past, she can be a bit shy with strangers at first, but once she feels safe, her incredibly sweet personality shines through! During her 4+ hour transport to us, her demeanor changed beautifully with each kind volunteer she met. By the end of the journey, she was able to relax and even fall asleep in a new bed, which she was allowed to keep to help her continue to feel safe. Cheesy Gordita is now looking for a stable, patient, and loving forever home where she will always feel secure.
