Mr. Wilson

Mr. Wilson is a handsome 8-year-old Beagle boy who weighs 33lbs and is currently on a weight loss journey. He arrived with us as a stray and unfortunately, his former owners weren't able to provide the best care for him. It's clear he was once loved, as he's been with his original family since he was a puppy.

He's been working hard on his weight loss, shedding pounds and counting! Mr. Wilson loves his food and is very motivated by it, so keeping tempting treats out of reach is key. He's a curious fellow with a great nose, so make sure food bags, counter food, and garbage bins are secured. While he loves food, he's been a good boy and hasn't shown any signs of resource guarding.

Ideal Home

A home that can continue his weight loss journey and manage his love for food. He is good with dogs and cats, and can live with children 8+.

Ongoing Health

Mr. Wilson is currently managing obesity and has undergone treatment for cherry eye. He is on a special diet and exercise plan to help him reach a healthy weight.

Training & Support

Mr. Wilson is house and crate trained and knows basic commands. He's working on his leash manners. He can be uncomfortable with ear cleaning and nail trims, and is undergoing cooperative care and muzzle training to ensure everyone's safety and comfort during these procedures.
