Mondo

Mondo is a handsome 5-6 year old, 50-55 lb neutered Australian Shepherd mix with a stunning dark charcoal grey coat, white belly, and spotted legs. Don't let his age fool you – he's an active and happy boy who loves to play! Mondo is up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He's also potty and crate trained, and rides well in the car without anxiety.

Ideal Home

Mondo needs an active home that can provide him with regular exercise through walks, hikes, or camping. He is not an apartment dog or meant to be left in the yard without interaction. He would be happy as an only dog or with a medium to large breed dog, male or female. He could live with a family with school-age children, a couple, or a single person, as long as he is included in daily life. He is NOT to be tied out or kept with an electric fence.

Mondo is up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Mondo knows basic commands but is not yet off-leash trained. He's a smart and agile dog who will happily learn anything you teach him! While he had some issues with fence climbing at the shelter when not exercised regularly, his current foster home has not experienced any issues with escape or climbing because he receives ample exercise. He enjoys downtime too and will happily cuddle on the couch for belly rubs and movie nights.
