Meet Ziva! She's a stunning 3-year-old, 80-pound Rottweiler who is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, all ready to find her loving forever home. Ziva's previous owner sadly passed away, and she found herself living outdoors for several weeks before kind neighbors stepped in to feed and socialize with her. Thankfully, she's now safe and sound in a foster home, eagerly awaiting her second chance. Ziva is a "slow burn" sweetheart – she needs a little time and patience to warm up, but she is so worth the wait! Once she feels comfortable, she's a devoted and affectionate companion.
Ideal Home
Ziva would do best with an experienced Rottweiler owner who understands her need for a gradual acclimation period. She's looking for a home without children, as she needs time to warm up to people and doesn't like being touched near her tail or ears initially. While she's generally cat-friendly and has lived with multiple cats, she would prefer a home without another dog, or with an owner experienced in slow introductions to resident dogs. Ziva has a moderate to high energy level, enjoying playtime and walks but also happy to relax.
Ongoing Health
Ziva is up-to-date on all vaccinations and is spayed and microchipped.
Training & Support
Ziva can be a bit of a puller on leash and would benefit from continued leash work. She exhibits resource guarding and should be fed separately. Ziva is fully potty trained and has never had an accident indoors. She's used to free-roaming and doesn't mind being in a dog-proofed house. She sometimes rests in her crate but has never been confined in it. Ziva can be reactive to other dogs, bikers, and joggers on walks, so continued training and careful introductions will be key. If you're in Vancouver, BC, Ziva will come with complimentary training sessions from Puca's Pack!
