Honey

Honey Comb is a sweet, affectionate, and silly 6-year-old terrier mix who weighs 68 lbs. She's a full-grown gal who is the perfect blend of playful energy and chill vibes. Honey Comb loves to be close to her people, always finding a way to nuzzle, rest her head, or place a paw on you. She's not a big kisser, so you can enjoy all the cuddles without the slobber! While she loves being with her humans, she's also independent and can entertain herself, making her an excellent work-from-home companion. She's content to nap nearby, watch the world go by, or enjoy a chew toy. When it's time for fun, Honey Comb is always ready for a happy bounce, zoomies around the yard, neighborhood walks, car rides, and puzzle toys. She greets everyone, young and old, with a big smile and her signature "stop, drop, and roll" move for belly rubs. Honey Comb has excellent manners, is incredibly smart, and learns routines quickly. She's respectful around food and a joy to live with. She is ready to find a forever family who will appreciate her affectionate heart, sweet personality, and loyal companionship.

Ideal Home

Honey Comb would thrive in a home where she can spend plenty of quality time with her people. She needs a fenced-in backyard for playing fetch and sunbathing. She would much prefer a quieter suburban or rural area over a busy city, as she loves nature trails and hikes. She is happiest when she can have all the love and attention to herself and would love to be the only pet in the home. A feline-free home is recommended, and she would do best with children aged 4 and up.

Ongoing Health

Honey Comb is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. She is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Honey Comb is kennel trained, potty trained, and leash trained. She has excellent leash manners on quiet, peaceful walks. She will not have accidents in the home and will tap dance by the door to communicate when she needs to potty. She is not destructive and can be trusted when left alone. She is happy to sleep in a kennel but would love to sleep in bed with her forever family or on a dog bed next to theirs.

• The cost to adopt is $350, which includes a $100 adoption fee and a $250 transport fee.
• The adoption fee covers all age-appropriate vaccinations, spay procedure, microchip, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, health certificate, and any necessary vet care.
• The transport fee covers transportation to her forever home.
• Applications are reviewed in the order they are received and can take a few days to review as our rescue is run 100% by volunteers.

Transportation

Honey Comb is in a foster home in Austin, TX. She can be transported to various locations; please visit www.wags.com for more information on transport locations. Adoptive families are responsible for meeting the transport to pick up their new family member. Dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to being transported.
