Obi

Obi is a sweet little Dachshund mix puppy who's ready to find his forever home! He's still young and full of puppy energy, dreaming of a home where he can play with toys, zoom around, and get plenty of cuddles. Obi also looks forward to exploring his new neighborhood on lots of walks and making some new furry friends. He's a smart pup who's eager to show off his skills by attending puppy obedience classes.

Ideal Home

Obi would love a home where he has plenty of opportunities for playtime and exploration. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements for multiple potty breaks and exercise sessions throughout the day, as puppies under 6 months of age require this frequent attention.

Ongoing Health

Obi has received age-appropriate vaccinations, but it's the adopter's responsibility to ensure he completes his vaccination series on schedule. Until he's fully vaccinated, he'll be at a greater risk for illness than an adult dog. Obi has not yet been spayed or neutered. As part of the adoption contract, this procedure must be completed no later than October 17, 2026, with no exceptions or extensions. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit is available if you'd like Lucky Dog to cover this cost at one of their partner vets.

Training & Support

Obi will need to work on his house training and attend obedience school to help him grow into a well-socialized dog.

Transporation

Obi is currently in a shelter in Puerto Rico and needs a foster or forever home in the DC area. Transport to the DC area is included in the adoption fee.
