Stormy Belle is a vision of canine grace with a coat as dark as midnight and captivating golden-brown eyes that draw you in. Ideal Home
Stormy Belle would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard, preferably in a quieter suburban setting rather than a bustling city. She can be a bit shy when meeting new people or exploring unfamiliar places, but she quickly warms up and becomes your devoted shadow. She enjoys the company of smaller dogs, finding them particularly comforting, though she is also gentle with dogs her size and even larger, boisterous ones. She's not overly playful with other dogs and prefers to roam and enjoy the fresh air and companionship. She is also content without other dog companions, happy to receive all the attention herself. Stormy has been around young children, including those as young as 4, and is respectful. However, she would prefer a home with older children, around 14 and up, who can better understand and respect her need for space and quiet time.
Ongoing Health
Stormy Belle is a rescue, and while we believe her to be approximately 5 years old, breed and age cannot be guaranteed. All necessary vetting, including DAPP vaccination with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative, has been completed. She has also been tested for heartworm and received treatment if needed.
Training & Support
Stormy Belle is a quick learner, especially when motivated by treats and positive reinforcement. She already knows how to sit and lie down, understands the "touch" command, and has a good recall. She walks well on a leash, is crate-trained, and is potty-trained. She has excellent house manners and doesn't get into things she shouldn't. She would be a wonderful companion for someone who works from home, as she is quiet and doesn't constantly demand attention, though she certainly enjoys it when offered.

Stormy Belle is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue's USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (with pickup options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You can track her journey in real-time and receive photo updates. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
