Pinky is a bright and loving 1-year-old, 18lb Mini Aussie Pom mix who embodies the intelligence of an Aussie with the affectionate nature of a Pom. She thrives on routine, love, and clear boundaries, and she's a fantastic cuddler and booper! Pinky has been a joy to foster, showing us her amazing smarts and quick ability to learn new expectations. She has mastered e-collar, prong collar, crate, and house training, and she gets along well with other dogs and cats. While she lived with children aged 8 and up previously, she would likely do best in a home without very young children, as herding breeds can be prone to herding fast-moving things. She knows all her basic commands, loves to go for walks, enjoy car rides, and would be happiest with a fenced yard to explore. Pinky can be a little wary of strangers and prefers to warm up slowly with treats and gentle introductions.
Ideal Home
Pinky would thrive in a home with an experienced handler who can provide consistent rules and boundaries. A fenced yard would be ideal for her to safely explore. She prefers not to meet strangers immediately and may need time to warm up, so a home that can manage introductions slowly and thoughtfully would be best.
Ongoing Health
Pinky is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been spayed. Her adoption fee includes a vet exam, microchip, and any necessary blood work or dental care as determined by the veterinarian. She is current on flea treatment.
Training & Support
Pinky is e-collar, prong collar, crate, and house trained. She knows basic commands like sit, down, off, no, stay, and come. She is generally good with other dogs and cats but may occasionally chase if they run, though she responds well to "no." We are happy to provide training support to any serious adopter on her commands and the tools she's been trained on.
