Nelson

Nelson is a big, beautiful, 120-pound chocolate Great Dane with a heart full of love to give! He's estimated to be around 3 years old. Nelson didn't have the best start with socialization as a puppy, so he's been working with some wonderful trainers to build his confidence. He absolutely adores affection and would be thrilled to have a fenced-in yard to romp around in!

Ideal Home

Nelson would do best in a home with older children due to his size and strength. While he seems to get along well with other large dogs, smaller dogs can make him a bit uncomfortable. We are still learning about how he is with cats.

Ongoing Health

Nelson has some food allergies, and we have a list of ingredients to avoid based on his allergy testing, which we'll happily share with his new family. He's already neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and is on heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Nelson can be a little stubborn, but he's making great strides in his training! He's working on commands and his least favorite is "down." He'll need a patient and consistent adopter who is willing to continue his training journey.
