Meet April! April is a 8-month-old sweetheart weighing about 32 lbs, and she's the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and gentle affection. We believe she may be a pit/lab mix, but what truly stands out is her loving, tender personality. April is incredibly sweet-natured with a soft, submissive personality. She lives with larger dogs and does great with them; she's happy to follow their lead and be part of the pack. She can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but give her a little time and you'll see her blossom. Once she feels safe, she loves you with her whole wiggly body – these are the kind of full-body tail wags that make your heart melt! Her favorite things include soft toys, squeaky toys, cozy naps after playtime, and gentle snuggles once she knows you. Like any puppy, her days are a happy rhythm of play, nap, repeat, and she brings so much joy wherever she goes.

April is looking for a family ready to guide her as she grows. She'll thrive with structure, patience, and positive training.
Ongoing Health
All vetting is up to date, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month heartworm preventative injection. She has also had a heartworm test and treatment if needed, and is microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
We do require adopters to commit to crate training, which helps set her up for success with potty training and confidence.

Transporation
April is currently fostered in Ridgefield Park, NJ. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
