Holt is a pawfessional dog dater who's charmed everyone he's met! He's an amazing dog with great manners, whether in the car, on a leash, in the house, or out in public. Holt is super smart and eager to learn, always looking for reassurance and direction. He's adaptable and in tune with people, making him a wonderful companion. He was great with kids, people, and other dogs, and if you're looking for an easy-going dog that can fit in anywhere, Holt is your guy! His only requirement is that he thrives on physical touch and attention.
Holt was a delight on neighborhood walks, initially a little timid but quickly relaxed and enjoyed himself. He remained calm when dogs barked from yards and showed polite interest in other dogs. He was intrigued by lawn sprinklers and even took a surprising spray in stride! He also handled encounters with people, bikes, and passing dogs with ease.
Inside, Holt started a bit shy but quickly became playful. After initially retreating to observe, he eagerly joined his dates on the couch for cuddles and to watch soccer. He eventually settled down for a nap, but was sure to remind his companions that constant petting was part of the date agreement!
Holt is a natural hiker, though he may need to build his stamina. He'll pause in shady spots for breaks before continuing his adventure. He was initially cautious of a creek's running water, but once he dipped a paw in, he became excited and zoomy – a water dog was born! Holt was also great when meeting kids and unfazed by nearby dogs. This amazing guy is ready to find his forever home.
