Hi there, I'm Misty Mae! I'm a lovely Retriever, Spaniel, and Carolina Dog mix, weighing in at 38lbs, and my estimated birthday is May 14, 2023. If you're dreaming of a sweet, loyal companion to be by your side, we absolutely need to meet! I'm told I have a gentle soul and a heart overflowing with love. My journey started a little rough, being rescued from a gas station, but I've been given a second chance and I'm making the most of every moment!

My foster family says I'm a model house guest. I'm already housebroken and kennel trained, and I really appreciate a good routine. I'm also a smart cookie and very food-motivated, which means learning new things is my favorite pastime... especially if there are tasty snacks involved! I truly love spending time with my people. Whether we're out for a walk, running errands, or just chilling at home, my happiest moments are when I'm part of your world. I have a playful spirit, but I'm just as content snuggling up for affection and enjoying a peaceful evening together. When I first arrived in foster care, I was a bit shy, but with patience, love, and a safe haven, I've grown more confident each day. It's been so exciting to discover how wonderful life can be when you feel secure. I do get along well with small dogs and appreciate it when new doggy friends are introduced to me slowly. Sometimes bigger dogs can feel a bit overwhelming for me, so I'm hoping for a family that understands and can help me navigate those introductions. More than anything, I'm searching for a forever home where I can continue to flourish, feel cherished, and spend all my days making my family smile. Could that family be yours? Ideal Home

I'd love a home where I can continue to blossom and feel loved. I get along well with small dogs and appreciate slow introductions when meeting new canine friends. Larger dogs can sometimes feel overwhelming for me, so a family that understands this would be wonderful.

Transportation

I'm currently located in Houston, TX, and transport is included in my adoption fee! Please note that pickup locations for transported dogs may vary, including nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360 and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
