Meet Rue! This spunky 6-month-old, 9 lb bundle of personality is believed to be a Yorkie/Miniature Schnauzer mix, inheriting the best of both breeds—smart, charming, and full of spirit! Rue is named after her namesake from The Hunger Games, and it couldn't be more fitting. Just like Rue, she's incredibly sweet, a little quiet, and surprisingly skilled at climbing! Don't let her tiny size fool you; this clever girl can find her way onto tabletops if something sparks her interest. She's wonderful with both dogs and kids and has a medium-to-high energy level, thriving with daily walks, playtime, and lots of engagement. Whether she's chasing her favorite toy or out on an adventure, Rue is always ready for fun!
Ideal Home
Rue would do best in a home with a fenced yard where she can safely burn off energy. A home without cats is a must due to her high prey drive. We are unable to adopt to any household with children under 8 years old.

Training & Support
Like many young pups, Rue is still learning the ropes. She's making good progress with potty training and just needs consistency to master it. She sleeps soundly in her crate at night and, while she may protest a bit during the day, she settles quickly. Some typical puppy chewing is still part of her routine, so appropriate toys and supervision will help guide her. Puppy classes will be important for her continued socialization and to help her grow into a well-mannered companion.

Rue is currently being fostered in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area and does not adopt out of province or country.
