Chester

Meet Chester, a 2-year-old male Bichon mix who was rescued from a puppy mill and brought to AFA. Chester is quite the character! He has the goofiest smile and loves to show off his teeth in a big grin when he sees people. He’s a bit uncertain in new situations and needs help building his confidence. Chester can walk a little on a leash but tends to get startled and hunker down. He will need encouragement to get going and make walks enjoyable. He’s just beginning to explore this big world and is looking for a forever home filled with patience and love to help him start this new chapter of his life. Training & Support

Chester is still learning to be comfortable on a leash and may startle easily. He will need positive reinforcement and patience to build his confidence and make walks enjoyable.

Application Details:

• Applications begin by contacting us through Wags.
• You may visit Chester during our adoption hours: Tuesday-Saturday, Noon-4pm.
• Please bring your valid ID (you must be 21+).
• If you are a pet owner, bring vet records for all your current pets.
• If you are a homeowner, bring proof of home ownership (property tax or mortgage document). Utility bills are not accepted.
• If you are a renter, bring your landlord's phone number and a copy of your lease. We must speak to your landlord.
• If you currently have dogs, a meet and greet with Chester will be required after your application is approved.

Chester is located at AFA. Transportation can be discussed.
