Sherpa Throw

Meet Sherpa! This handsome 2-3 year old, 80lb boy is a resilient spirit with a heart of gold. Sherpa was found in a rough situation but after receiving months of dedicated medical care and treatment, he’s made a full recovery and his wonderful personality is shining through!

Sherpa embodies the best qualities of a working dog: he's intelligent, diligent, and has a confident independent streak. He's friendly towards people and gets along well with other dogs of similar size, though he often prefers to explore or focus on a task at hand. Sherpa is a sweet boy who genuinely wants to please, and while he's still maturing his social skills, he's eager to learn.

Ideal Home

Sherpa would do well in a home that appreciates his independent nature and can provide him with engaging activities. He enjoys exploring and focusing on tasks, making him a great companion for someone looking for a dog with a bit of a working-dog mindset.

Ongoing Health

Sherpa has fully recovered from a past heartworm diagnosis and his medical treatment.

Training & Support

Sherpa is actively working on his communication skills and socialization. To support his continued growth, his adopter will receive 8 FREE private training sessions with Instinct Dog Behavior and Training, which can be done in-person (for those in NYC or willing to travel) or virtually from anywhere.

Transporation

Sherpa is currently looking for foster placement in NYC or surrounding areas. He is available for local or out-of-state adoption, provided the adopter can travel to meet him.
