About Buddy

Meet Buddy, a resilient 1-year-old Shepherd/Pit mix weighing approximately 60 lbs who is ready for a second chance after not being reclaimed. He was found injured and without identification, leading to the amputation of his front right leg due to significant nerve damage. Despite this hardship, Buddy shows incredible strength and a will to move forward as he begins his recovery. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Buddy is also heartworm positive, but thankfully, his treatment is sponsored.

Ideal Home

Buddy will need a patient and committed home that can allow him ample time to recover and adjust to life with three legs.

Ongoing Health

Buddy is currently healing from surgery and will go home with any medications he is taking at the time of adoption to continue his care. He is heartworm positive, but his treatment is sponsored.

Training & Support

Due to his recent surgery, Buddy has not been tested with other dogs. If you have existing dogs, a meet and greet is recommended prior to adoption to ensure a good fit.
