About Niko

Hi there, I'm Niko! I'm a handsome 3.5-year-old, 72-pound Black Labrador Retriever mix with a heart full of love to give. My foster family rescued me from doggy death row, and I'm so incredibly grateful. I'm young at heart and love a good toy or chew bone, and I'm always up for an adventure – nose work would be amazing for me! I also have a special love for water, so if there's a lake or beach nearby, count me in! While I'm a grown-up, I still enjoy playing and exploring the world. I'm affectionate, a total snuggler with my people, and I'm well-behaved, so I won't be a bother around the house. I dream of hiking, camping, and discovering new places with my forever family.

Ideal Home

I would absolutely love a nice, fenced yard where I can safely explore and enjoy the sunshine. I get a little nervous in crowded public places like stores, but I would thrive in a spacious park or a calmer environment. I tend to get a bit too excited around cats, so a cat-free home is best for me.

Ongoing Health

No specific health concerns were mentioned, but as with all rescues, I will receive all core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies), be spayed/neutered, and microchipped before joining your family.

Training & Support

I'm a pretty good boy, but I can get a bit overexcited with other animals. I'm not very food motivated, which is a bit surprising for a Lab! I do well with other dogs, especially puppies.
