Trix is an 8-month-old, 35-pound Pitbull mix with the sweetest, smartest soul, and a gentle, shy demeanor. She and her brother were surrendered to a shelter, and while her brother has found his home, Trix needed extra time in foster care to build her confidence. Trix was undersocialized early in life and is initially fearful of humans, but she has never shown any reactivity. Instead, she seeks a safe place to hide when unsure. She is incredibly observant and learns quickly, mastering the doggy door in just a couple of days. With patience and trust-building, Trix begins to soften, eventually playing with toys, enjoying time with other dogs, and seeking comfort with her humans.
Ideal Home
Trix needs a home where someone is around most of the time, as she is still a puppy and requires consistent patience and time to build trust. She would thrive with a confident canine companion to learn from, but if adopted as an only dog, adopters should have a thoughtful plan for socialization and confidence-building.
Ongoing Health
Trix is spayed.
Training & Support
Trix is housebroken, loves her crate, and is learning to walk on a leash. She has been around children and is shy at first. Her history with cats is unknown. She is very quiet and observant.
