Starling

Starling is a beautiful and charming young adult girl with a big heart and lots of energy to share! She's a Husky and German Shepherd mix, inheriting the intelligence and drive of her parents. Starling was surrendered with her littermates, adopted, returned due to her family moving, and then adopted again, only to be returned recently for chasing cats. This prey drive for smaller animals is not uncommon in working breeds, and it's an important consideration for potential adopters. Starling is still working on her basic training, but with consistent guidance, she's sure to blossom.

Ideal Home

Starling would thrive in a home that understands and can manage her prey drive. A home without cats would be ideal, given her history.

Ongoing Health

Starling is spayed, microchipped, current on core vaccines, and has tested negative for heartworms. She is in good health and ready for a lifetime of love.

Training & Support

Starling is still learning basic commands and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training. Understanding and redirecting her prey drive will be key to her success in her forever home.
