About Shadow - ADOPT OR FOSTER WITH INTENT TO ADOPT

Shadow is a very handsome 3-year-old, 74-pound male black lab mix. He was in a foster home that had cats, but it wasn't a good match because he chases and catches cats. Someone has taken Shadow into their home to temporarily foster him so he won't have to be boarded, so we are looking for someone who wants to adopt him or foster him with the intent to adopt.

Ideal Home

Shadow would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and another playful dog to help him burn off his young energy. Homes with cats are not a good match for Shadow.

Ongoing Health

Shadow is neutered and current on distemper, rabies, and bordetella vaccinations. His heartworm test was negative.

Training & Support

Shadow is housebroken and knows how to sit and shake with both paws. He enjoys walks and rides well in the car. He can be crated overnight, but he may whine a bit initially. Expect some barking if he is crated during the day. Shadow bonds quickly with his person and has a nice temperament, but he needs someone who can teach him a few more commands and provide him with plenty of exercise. Having another dog to play with can greatly assist with this.
