About Oreo
Oreo is a one-year-old "everything-in-one" mystery mix who is ready to find his forever family. Whether you are looking for a car-ride companion or a professional snuggler, Oreo is your guy. He is a sturdy, medium-large boy weighing in at 55-60 lbs. His DNA results show he is a unique blend of American Staffordshire Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, and American Pit Bull Terrier, with a dash of 12 other breeds, making him truly one of a kind.
Oreo had a rough start in life, found abandoned with his siblings, but his sweet nature shines through. He's a social butterfly who enjoys car rides and is a gentleman around people and other dogs. While he has bursts of energy for zoomies, he's surprisingly low-maintenance, happy to relax after a short walk or playtime. He's shown he can be a perfect house guest, with no accidents and an apparent understanding of outdoor potty breaks. Oreo is fascinated by television, especially "Clifford the Big Red Dog," and has become a world-class cuddler once he discovered the comfort of a couch. He also has a hilarious habit of putting his front paws in his water bowl while drinking!
Ideal Home
Oreo gets along well with other dogs and is very sweet-natured. Because he is still a young, bouncy boy who likes to jump up to say "hello," we recommend a home with children ages 10 and up. We are happy to test him with feline friends upon request.
Ongoing Health
Oreo is fully vetted and ready to settle into your heart! His adoption includes a comprehensive health package. He is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). He has been recently dewormed and is consistently maintained on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Within 10 days of his trip to you, Oreo will receive a fresh health certificate exam and a fecal exam.
Training & Support
Oreo is still learning, and while he's generally a good boy, he sometimes jumps up to greet people. He seems to understand potty training basics and has shown good manners during grooming.
