Meet Benji! This handsome 8-month-old, 12-pound Chihuahua mix is a bundle of love and personality. With his striking light green eyes, adorable white socks, and freckled nose, he's sure to capture your heart. Benji was born into a situation where he wasn't truly wanted, but despite that, he has an abundance of love to give and is eagerly awaiting a family to call his own. He's a social butterfly who adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. His favorite activities include playing tug-of-war, romping with his canine pals, and carrying his favorite stuffed toys everywhere. Benji is a quiet boy, enjoys car rides, and loves to be involved in whatever his humans are doing. He might offer a brief bark when meeting new people, but it's just his way of saying hello.

Benji thrives in an active environment where his smart mind and energetic spirit can be kept engaged. Given his long legs and jumping ability, an active home or one that enjoys activities like agility training would be a perfect fit.

Benji is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his shots.

Training & Support

Benji is crate-trained and is currently working on his house training. He walks well on a leash. While generally independent, he may bark at newcomers as a way to check things out. Consistent positive reinforcement will help him continue to thrive.
