Barney Delight is a 2-year-old German Shepherd/lab mix weighing around 45 lbs, and he's a certified mood booster! This happy boy has an easygoing, go-with-the-flow personality that makes him instantly lovable. Barney's favorite things are simple: being close to his people, a good wiggle butt, playing with toys, and joining you for any adventure. He's affectionate, mellow, and makes everyday life feel warmer. Barney is also a smart cookie, knowing basic commands like "sit" and "shake," and he's already crate and potty trained, even knowing how to use a doggy door! He's the perfect blend of an adventurous companion and a snuggly pal, and he loves to spend time outdoors, so a nice big backyard would be his dream.

Ongoing Health

Barney is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, and flea prevention. He is also microchipped with free lifetime registration.

Training & Support

Barney is already crate and potty trained and knows how to use a doggy door. He is also dog friendly and enjoys playing with other dogs, but he's also happy to be your one and only.

Barney is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT. You will have the opportunity to track your pet's journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
