Winy

Winy is a charming 1-year-old male mix of Labrador and Creole, weighing around 30 lbs. He's a wonderfully loving, intelligent, and obedient companion who also has a playful spirit. Winy was rescued in March 2024, having been found with his siblings in a field. He's an energetic and sociable boy who gets along with everyone, including children and other dogs. While he can be a little shy when first meeting new people, his affection quickly melts him into your arms. He enjoys playtime, walks, runs, and most of all, cuddles. Winy is crate and leash trained, and his joyful and funny personality is sure to bring a smile to your face.

Ideal Home

Winy would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and lead an active lifestyle, enjoying outdoor activities. Families with an open mind about the needs of rescued animals and prior experience with dog behavior and training would be ideal. Patience and high tolerance are appreciated, as rescued pups may not be house-trained initially.

Ongoing Health

Winy has a comprehensive health protocol, including a Spay/Neuter Certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and microchipping. He has tested negative for heartworm and has a 4DX test certificate. He receives monthly preventive treatment with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are also provided.

Training & Support

While Winy is crate and leash trained, it's important to note that rescued pets are not typically house-trained. Adopters should be prepared for this aspect of his care and be willing to provide ongoing education and patience.

Transportation

Winy is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transport to the adopter's home address is available for a fee of $400.00, to be paid by the adopter prior to the pet's departure.
