Machika

Machika is a sweet Akita mix, around 2-3 years old and weighing 53 lbs. She’s a calm and loving companion who enjoys leisurely walks, relaxing car rides, and playtime with her canine friends in the yard. Machika can be a bit particular about her doggy companions and prefers a home without cats, but she's always eager to share her gentle nature with people. Her past on the streets was challenging, but thanks to some kind individuals and a rescue, she's blossomed into a trusting and affectionate dog who deeply desires a secure and loving home. She’s ready to be your loyal and devoted companion!

Ideal Home

A home with a tall fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. Machika would do best in a cat-free environment.

Ongoing Health

Machika has received her spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, and is dewormed. She is microchipped and has a negative 4DX test and heartworm test certificate. She is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm and has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Machika is not house-trained and may require an adjustment period due to her past experiences. Patience, understanding, and a consistent routine will be crucial to help her feel secure. Families with experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, are highly encouraged.

Transportation

Machika is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on the next cross-country trip. A transportation fee of $400 USD applies and covers door-to-door delivery.
