Zac is a charming 5-year-old, neutered male Anatolian Shepherd mix weighing around 60 pounds. He was rescued from a county shelter after showing signs of discomfort in his back legs. X-rays revealed he needed FHO surgery, a procedure to improve comfort and mobility by removing a damaged part of the hip joint. Zac has fully recovered from his surgery and requires no further medical intervention or medication. He’s a loyal companion with a wonderful balance of playful energy and a desire for cuddles. Zac enjoys the company of other dogs, is respectful during playtime, and maintains calm behavior on walks, showing no reactivity to other dogs. Indoors, he's a relaxed, low-energy boy who loves to be near his people. He is house-trained and crate-trained, readily entering his crate for a treat. Zac thrives on human companionship, showering his loved ones with affection and enjoying gentle pets and loving gazes. He can be quite the conversationalist, especially if meals are delayed, and has a sweet, vocal personality that is sure to bring smiles. Zac has also shown comfort in car rides and enjoys toys and treats, with no signs of resource guarding. While he hasn't been around young children, his foster believes he could adapt well with continued training to manage excitement.
