Journey

Journey is a handsome, 3.5-year-old neutered male Husky with striking black and white markings. He weighs between 45-50 lbs and was born on August 17, 2022. Journey's story is one of resilience; he was famously rescued during a hurricane in Houston, showing his true husky spirit by swimming to shore before being safely caught. Since then, he's discovered the joys of a loving home and being cared for every day. He's a smart and sweet boy who loves adventures and being part of his human's life.

Ideal Home

Journey would do best in a home with school-aged children, a couple, or a single person who can include him in daily life and adventures. He would not be an ideal fit for an apartment. A securely fenced yard is a must for him to run and play. He is not suited for tie-outs or electric fences.

Ongoing Health

Journey is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative, on monthly preventatives, microchipped, and neutered.

Training & Support

Journey knows his basic commands but is not yet off-leash trained. He loves the water and rides well in the car. He plays well with most medium to large female dogs and many medium to large male dogs, though he has shown a dislike for one specific male husky.

Transporation

Journey is currently in a foster home in Fort Worth, TX. Transport to your area is available through our rescue after the adoption is finalized. If you prefer to arrange your own transport, the adoption fee will remain the same.
