Meet Barney! This handsome 2-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix is a 75-pound bundle of love who is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, all ready for his forever home. Barney arrived at the shelter scared and alone, but thankfully, he's now safe and sound in a foster home, looking for a family to call his own. He's a gentle soul who loves to be with his people, whether he's playing with his foster dog sibling or snuggling up on the couch. Barney is known to be a bit shy when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and becomes an affectionate lap dog. He enjoys a good play session but is also happy to relax and nap, mirroring the energy of his home.

Ideal Home

Barney would thrive in a home with a canine companion, as he gains confidence from having another dog around. He's also dog-savvy cats, and due to his size and initial shyness with loud noises, a home with older children would be best.

Barney is up-to-date on all vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered.

Training & Support

Barney is fully potty trained and crate trained, doing well when left alone for periods. He walks beautifully on a leash when accompanied by another dog. While he is friendly with cats, he does tend to chase them out of excitement, so a home with dog-savvy cats is recommended.
