Blue is an extremely happy girl, ready for an endless amount of love and attention. If you want a cuddle bug who will be glued to your side, Blue is your girl! She has also done well when left alone for multiple hours at a time, and can spend time in a crate with no issues. She has been recovering from surgery during her time with us, but her playful personality shines through, and we can see she would get along great with a household with kids. She also loves playing with other dogs and is an all-around amazingly social dog. She is a lapdog at heart and truly just needs someone to love her to be happy.
Her foster says, "Don't let her age fool you - this sweet girl has plenty of life and love to give! She settled into our home quickly and has been an absolute joy to foster. She has a calm, affectionate personality and loves being close to her people. Once she feels comfortable, she's happy to cuddle up beside you and isn't shy about giving a few kisses. She enjoys relaxing around the house but also loves getting out to explore. We took her on an outing to Lowe's, and she was fantastic! She walked nicely on leash, was friendly and polite with everyone she met, and handled the sights, sounds, and activity with confidence. She didn't seem overwhelmed and took everything in stride. She has done wonderfully with our resident dog, Brody. They have peacefully shared our home, and she has been respectful and easygoing with him. She enjoys having a canine companion but is also content relaxing on her own. She's house-trained and has been well-behaved in the home. She has shown no signs of destructive behavior and settles nicely for naps after play or outings. If you're looking for a loving, loyal companion who enjoys both adventures and cozy evenings at home, this girl may be the perfect fit."
Ideal Home
Blue would thrive in a home where she can be a constant companion. She enjoys playing with other dogs and would likely do well with children.
Ongoing Health
Blue was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor on her right hind leg and a gingival mass in her mouth. Both were removed, and while the masses were benign with a low risk of spreading, they may recur. Dogs with a history of mast cell tumors are also more prone to developing new ones. We recommend close monitoring of these areas and follow-up with your veterinarian for ongoing care.
Training & Support
