Oliver

Oliver is an adorable, young Doberman mix who came to us from an animal shelter. He had a big bald spot on his rear end when he arrived, most likely caused by flea dermatitis, but he has since healed nicely! Oliver might not yet be a year old, as he still seems quite puppyish, so he may grow a bit more. He's been good with all the female dogs he has lived with, but he can be a bit sensitive, so an overbearing companion might be too much for him. Oliver did some play-mouthing when he first arrived, which seemed to stem from excitement and insecurity. While this has improved significantly, we do not recommend him for a home with young children due to this behavior. Oliver is playful, affectionate, and ready for a new home!

Ideal Home

Oliver would do well in a home with other female dogs, but he can be sensitive, so a calm companion is preferred. Due to his past mouthing behavior, we do not recommend a home with young children.

Ongoing Health

Oliver's flea dermatitis has fully healed, and he is up to date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Oliver's play-mouthing has improved but still needs gentle guidance. We recommend continued positive reinforcement training to build his confidence and manage any lingering excitement or insecurity.
