Meet Koko — A Smart, Loyal Girl Looking for the Right Home

Koko is a sweet, affectionate, and incredibly loyal 7-year-old dog who’s looking for a very special home. She’s medium-sized and absolutely adores her people. Koko loves cuddles, tummy rubs, and curling up close at night; she even sleeps soundly through the night! She’s also very food-motivated and loves her stuffed toys — her favorite pastime is "roughing up" her plushies with great enthusiasm! Koko is fully potty trained and knows how to sit. She’s a smart girl who learns quickly when given structure and consistency.

Ideal Home

Koko needs a calm, adult-only household and should be the only pet. A securely fenced yard would be ideal so she can enjoy outside time safely.

Ongoing Health

Koko is fully vetted, including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age-appropriate vaccinations. She received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days.

Training & Support

Koko struggles with reactivity and anxiety, especially around other dogs. On walks, she becomes highly reactive, and she also reacts to movement outside and animals on TV. These behaviors stem from fear and over-stimulation, not aggression. She gets anxious when her people leave and is still working on crate training. She’ll need a patient, experienced adopter willing to work with a positive-based trainer to help her continue learning.
